There are multiple ways you can get involved in our quest to prevent child abuse. A few are listed below.
Get trained at a Free Training. As certified Darkness to Light trainers, Project Pinwheel also offers training on the following topics:
Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children
Bystanders Protecting Children
Healthy Touch for Children and Youth
Talking to Children About Safety from Sexual Abuse
Train others – schedule a training at your workplace, faith or community group
Educate kids – talk to your school administration about bringing prevention to third grade classrooms.
Volunteer – Project Pinwheel partner, Blue Sky Bridge is always in need of additional presenters for their third grade prevention program in the schools. If you have marketing, graphic design or videography experience, we could use your help with our messaging.
Join our steering committee – Project Pinwheel is a group of agencies working together. Key members have shown their commitment by joining our steering committee. We meet monthly to work on tasks, monitor progress and develop initiatives to move our strategic plan forward.
Donate – prevention isn’t free. Materials, labor and outreach all have a cost and grants can only go so far.
